Check-In Policy

The following conditions apply to all bookings at Crown Towers Sydney.

CHECK-IN TIME: From 3:00pm

CHECK-OUT TIME: 11:00am

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:

Hotel registration and check in is available only to guests who are not prohibited from entering the hotel, are 18 years of age or over, and are recorded on the reservation at the time of booking. A valid form of photo identification acceptable to Crown must be supplied in order to process your check-in, which will be recorded by Crown.

Acceptable photographic Identification Documents:

  • a valid and current Australian state or territory or New Zealand driver’s licence; 
  • a valid and current Australian or foreign passport; 
  • a valid and current Australian state or territory or New Zealand learner’s permit; 
  • a valid and current Australian state or territory Photo Card or Proof of Age card; or 
  • a valid and current Australian ImmiCard.

PAYMENT SECURITY:

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card at time of booking. This does not constitute payment. Payment in full is required for all accommodation upon check in (if not prepaid in advance). Prepayment of accommodation will only be accepted three full days or more prior to check in date. To prepay, please call the Reservations team on 1800 808 878 to arrange.

To secure your Villa reservation, a deposit of the first nights’ accommodation will be deducted within 48 hours after you make your reservation with the remaining fee payable on arrival.  Payments by credit card incur a 1.15% service fee.  If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before check-in, your deposit will be refunded to your nominated credit card. Cancellations within 7 days of check-in will result in forfeiture of the full fee payable for the stay and you consent to your payment method be charged at the time of cancellation for the remaining balance owing. 

If staying in a Villa or Crystal Suite, an additional credit card pre-authorisation of $500 per night (not exceeding $2,000 for bookings of more than four nights) is required as security for any incidental costs, including damage associated with the room. Cash, EFTPOS and debit card are not accepted. 

Please note, a service fee of 1.15% applies to all credit card transactions. Alternatively, payments can be made up to ten business days prior to arrival via cheque or bank deposit. Please enquire for further information.

All guests are personally liable for all charges made by any person to the room account (regardless of whether such charges are made during the hotel stay or expressly authorised by the guest who is recorded on the reservation) and for any damage to the room and associated hotel facilities caused by the guest or any person using the room and associated hotel facilities with the consent of the guest.

All guests must provide an amount sufficient to secure payment for accommodation being authorised or charged in advance in favour of Crown. An additional cash, EFTPOS, eWallet or debit card payment of $500 flat or a credit card pre-authorisation of $100 per night is required as security for any incidental costs. 

If full payment of the account is not received, all guests agree to Crown deducting any outstanding balance from the credit or debit card provided.

Where a guest is a member of the Crown Rewards Programme and the Member has an unpaid hotel account and attempts by Crown to collect payment have been unsuccessful after a period of 30 days, Crown reserves the right to deduct any Points from the Member’s account to cover the cost of the debt.

REFUNDS/RELEASES:

Cash refunds will only be returned to the guest who supplied the photo identification upon check-in. Card refunds generally take between 3-10 working days to process, and pre-authorisation releases take up to 31 days to process, depending on the individual bank policies.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND DRESS STANDARDS: 

All guests must comply with Crown’s current Dress Standards and Conditions of Entry.  Crown may refuse entry to or permission to remain on the premises for non-compliance with the Conditions of Entry.  No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances and Crown reserves the right not to accept any future bookings from the relevant guest or any member of that guest’s party.

PARTIES & FUNCTIONS:

For the comfort of all guests, guests must not hold any party or function in the hotel room.  Doing so would constitute a disturbance under the Conditions of Entry, which may lead to all members of the party being asked to leave the premises.  Should you wish to arrange a function, please contact Crown Events on +61 2 8871 7188

RIGHT OF ENTRY:

In the event that Crown has a legitimate cause for concern or if the guest has not been seen nor been able to be contacted over a period of time, the hotel room may be entered by a Crown representative to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests is in order. A legitimate cause for concern includes, but is not limited to, a suspected threat of harm, suspected illegal activity or damage being caused to the room.

USE OF HOTEL FACILITIES:

All guests must comply with all signage, conditions of use and instructions from staff in respect of use of the hotel facilities. The use of the hotel facilities, including the pool, spa, aqua retreat, gym and tennis court are at guests’ own risk and guests agree not to hold Crown or any of its related entities liable for any personal injury or loss of property which may arise from any cause.

NON-SMOKING POLICY:

Please note that this is a non-smoking hotel and that any form of smoking (including electronic cigarettes) in a non-smoking room will result in a cleaning fee relevant to the size of your room and the extent of damage. Any additional costs associated with emergency services attending the hotel are also chargeable.

ALCOHOL POLICY: 

Hotel has an overarching duty of care for all guests, and when amounts of alcohol being brought on-site are deemed to be in excess for the capacity of the room and responsible consumption of alcohol, these items may be requested to be stored within our Bell Services department, for moderate consumption or collection upon departure from premises.

CREDIT CARDS:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Requests for an early check-in will be subject to availability and will not be guaranteed, unless the room is reserved for the night prior to arrival, which will incur an additional night's charge.

Late departures may be booked at an additional fee (subject to availability on check-out) prior to arrival through Crown Towers Reservations or during your stay.

Bell Desk is available to store luggage on a complimentary basis as and when required.

Whilst we will do our utmost to provide you with the room of your choice, please be aware that any room preferences floor or view cannot be guaranteed.

One vehicle per hotel booking can be accommodated at Crown Towers Sydney valet parking. For multiple vehicles, guests will have to seek alternate parking options in Barangaroo. Parking for vehicles above 2.2m in height cannot be accommodated on site. More parking information and options can be found here

Discounted rates may be available at check-in to Crown Rewards members, however do not apply to all bookings.  All Crown Rewards members' discount rates are subject to change according to your current membership level at the time of your check-in.
